During a shoot for our episode Museum Secrets Inside the Bardo Museum, Tunisia, which premieres this week on HISTORY (Canada) we went to the famous ancient Roman amphitheatre at El D’jem, to create a scene with some fighters depicting a Gladiator battle the way it would have been in the early 3rd century AD.

Check out our sneak peak behind the scenes video with Director David New and then be sure to watch our TV episode this Thursday May 2, at 9 PM on HISTORY (Canada) in which we expose Hollywood myths about Roman Gladiators!

Visit our site, to discover the Bardo museum’s most fascinating artifacts and their intriguing stories that are coming up on our TV episode.

Established within a 19th Century palace, the Bardo museum features thousands of artifacts from excavations carried out throughout Tunisia, that date from the nation’s Carthaginian, Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman periods.
